Experimental Materiality

Aléa Garden Lab

Aléa is launching a long term transdisciplinary applied research project for bio-inclusive* practices at Domaine de Boisbuchet.

The Aléa Garden Lab is an open air laboratory providing a space for immersed experimentation and development of reimagined processes with living systems in partnership with universities, collaborators and sponsors.

The Domaine, surrounded by a forest, pasture, a river, a lake, and an architectural park, provides an expansive outdoor laboratory for experimentation that integrates local biodiversity, community, resources and waste streams.

The Garden Lab will welcome participation from students and professionals of all fields, fostering collaboration and cooperation to reveal new fields of trans-disciplinary biomaterial research and applications.
