STEP 1Gather all materials & sterilize hands, work surface & mixing bowl.
Ingredients:
+ champignonnière
+ mycelium spawn (to be stored in fridge until inoculation)
You will need to provide:
+ your own additional organic substrate
(coffee grounds, cardboard, wood chips, etc.)
+ plastic bag
+ paper or cloth towel + cleaning alcohol
+ hand sanitizer + mixing bowl + tap water
+ flour
+ spray bottle with tap water
STEP 1
Boil the collected substrates, remove water and add damp substrates into the bowl.
Let cool down.
STEP 2
Add crumpled mycelium spawn and a tablespoon of flour to the bowl.
Mix well, mixture should be moist, add water if necessary.
STEP 3
Put a plastic bag inside the champignonnière and fill in the mycelium substrate mix. Close and flip the bag to palace it in the champignonnière base to ensure humidity. (sterilize reused plastic bags with alcohol)
STEP 4
In 5 to 7 days, remove the bag and place the solidified mycelium substrate mix back into champignonnière. Place it out of direct sunlight and start misting twice a day with water spray.
Mushrooms will start fruiting within 1-2 weeks.
